What is Tax Deducted at Source (TDS)?
Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) is a system in which a certain percentage of tax is deducted by the payer from the income of the payee at the time of payment, rather than the payee paying the entire tax amount at the end of the year. The deducted tax is then remitted to the government on behalf of the payee.
