What is a Straight-Time Pay?
A Straight-Time Pay is the regular compensation an employee earns for working standard, non-overtime hours, typically based on an hourly wage or fixed salary. It excludes additional earnings such as overtime pay, bonuses, or shift differentials and is calculated by multiplying the employee’s hourly rate by the number of hours worked within the standard workweek.
